Examples - Contoh:
Saya membeli buku, Aku membeli buku - I buy a book
Note : It's more polite using "Saya" Than "Aku"
Kamu bermain bola, Anda bermain bola - You play football
Note : We use "Kamu" when we say it to a friend or younger person than us. For older person we prefer use "Bapak" or "Ibu" + his/her name. eg; Bapak husin, Bapak Budi, Ibu Susi, Ibu Dini.
"Anda" is used for more formal spoken.
Kami pergi ke Bali, Kita pergi ke Bali - We go to Bali
Note: "Kami" and "Kita" have different meaning.
Notice this example:
- Andi, Hasan, and Ali said to me "Kami juara" (we are champions)
It's mean The champions are Andi, Hasan, and Ali. I am not included.
- Andi, Hasan, and Ali said to me "Kita juara" (we are champions)
It's mean The champions are Andi, Hasan, and Ali. Including me.
Dia cantik - She is beautiful
Dia Tampan - He is handsome
Mereka kuat - They are strong
